What your day could look like
As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll play an important role in supporting patients, families and the wider health team to deliver safe, thoughtful care. From contributing to smooth patient flow to building trusted relationships at the bedside, your work will help create meaningful outcomes for people across our community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting patients with planned, evidence‑based nursing care that promotes safety, comfort and recovery
- Working collaboratively with registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team to achieve timely, coordinated care
- Using clinical judgement and clear communication to recognise changes and contribute to informed care decisions
- Helping create a positive, respectful environment that supports patient experience and team connection
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings capability and heart to your nursing practice. You value teamwork, speak up when it matters, and take pride in delivering care that respects dignity and individuality. You'll feel proud knowing your work helps patients feel safe, supported and understood, while contributing to a service that truly values its people and community.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current or eligible registration as an Enrolled Nurse with no medication restrictions
- Sound clinical skills and the ability to deliver delegated care with confidence and care
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient‑focused mindset
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in acute or regional healthcare settings and/or additional clinical training such as intravenous therapy.
Most importantly, you'll bring the Darling Downs Health values to life through compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, helping deliver care you'd be proud for your own family to receive.
Together, your work will support safer care, stronger teams, and healthier communities.
