What your day could look like

As the Clinical Lead – Disability, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening how people with disability experience care across Darling Downs Health. From navigating complex systems to influencing service improvement, you'll work alongside clinicians, partners and the community to enable smoother pathways and better outcomes.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Designing and championing integrated care pathways that improve access, flow and patient experience
  • Providing trusted clinical leadership and advice on complex, high‑risk disability matters
  • Building strong partnerships with internal teams and external agencies to remove barriers to care
  • Leading service improvements that turn insight, data and innovation into meaningful change

Let's talk about you!

You're a clinician who leads with both confidence and compassion. You see the bigger picture, remain grounded in values, and know how to influence positively in complex environments. You're proud of creating pathways that feel safer, fairer and more responsive for people with disability, and you bring others with you through integrity, curiosity and courage.

You're not just here to navigate systems — you're here to improve them, advocate for dignity in care, and help teams deliver their best for the community they serve.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Registration or eligibility for registration in an allied health profession
  • Advanced clinical experience supporting people with disability in complex settings
  • Strong leadership, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confidence working across services to resolve challenges and drive improvement

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience leading service redesign and/or postgraduate study relevant to disability, leadership or health systems.

Above all, you'll live the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — and use them to create better experiences for people with disability across our health service.

This role delivers lasting impact by improving care, connection and confidence for people who rely on our services.
