As a Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients and families during their most urgent and vulnerable moments. From rapid assessment to coordinated care, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, responsive, and compassionate emergency services that truly matter to the local community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering timely, evidence‑based emergency care that supports positive patient outcomes
- Using sound judgement and clinical decision‑making in fast‑paced, unpredictable situations
- Collaborating with doctors, nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care
- Guiding and supporting colleagues, while contributing ideas that strengthen safety, quality, and team culture
Let's talk about you!
You're calm under pressure, grounded in your clinical expertise, and driven by doing the right thing when it matters most. You bring compassion to every interaction, integrity to every decision, and courage to step forward in challenging situations. What you're proud of is the trust patients place in you—and the difference you make when seconds count. You're here to create impact, support your team, and serve a community that genuinely values your care.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current (or eligible) registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Recent experience or strong interest in emergency or acute care nursing
- Confidence in clinical judgement, communication, and collaborative practice
- A commitment to safety, learning, and delivering patient‑centred care
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have emergency‑specific training, rural or regional experience, triage capability, or postgraduate study relevant to emergency or critical care.
Above all, you'll live the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation, and courage—creating safe care today while helping shape the future of regional health.
