Every day, you'll contribute by:

- Partnering with consumers, families and colleagues to achieve positive health outcomes
- Using sound clinical judgement to respond confidently in dynamic and complex situations
- Contributing ideas and leadership that strengthen team culture, quality and continuity of care
Your work will help shape experiences that feel human, respectful and grounded in compassion.
Let's talk about you!
You're a mental health nurse who leads with empathy and thinks critically when it counts. You balance clinical skill with genuine care, showing integrity in your decisions and courage in complex moments. You take pride in supporting recovery, safeguarding wellbeing and being someone others can rely on. You're not just here to do a job — you're here to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of people and the community you serve.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Experience delivering evidence‑based mental health care in a clinical setting
- Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe, respectful practice
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate study in mental health and/or experience in regional or acute mental health environments.
Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to everything you do — helping people feel seen, supported and safe.
Together, this role delivers care that matters and outcomes the Darling Downs community can trust.
