What your day could look like

As a Business Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting teams that shape how health services are planned, funded and evaluated. Your work helps ensure accurate information, smooth coordination and trusted support, contributing to better outcomes for staff, patients and the wider community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Enabling leaders and teams with accurate, timely administrative and data support that keeps work moving forward
  • Coordinating meetings, communications and reporting so information flows clearly and confidently
  • Supporting costing and activity processes that inform decision‑making across health services
  • Building trusted relationships by providing responsive, professional service to internal stakeholders

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings calm, care and clarity to everything you do. You value integrity, respect confidentiality, and take pride in being the person others rely on to get things done well. You enjoy contributing behind the scenes, knowing your work supports teams to deliver better care. What you'll feel proud of is helping complex services run smoothly, accurately and with purpose.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Experience in administrative or business support roles, with strong organisational skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to manage information and reporting
  • Clear, professional communication and a genuine customer‑focused approach
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience supporting finance, data or health‑related environments and/or exposure to reporting or information systems.

Most importantly, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage. This role is about being a trusted support, enabling better decisions and making a quiet but meaningful impact every day.
