What your day could look like
As an Advanced Pharmacy Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting pharmacists, patients and clinical teams, helping ensure medicines are prepared safely, delivered efficiently, and managed with care. From specialised manufacturing work to supporting wards and improving systems, your contribution makes a real difference to patient outcomes across the service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting safe and timely preparation of high-risk and sterile medicines that patients rely on
- Working closely with pharmacists and ward teams to ensure medicines are available, accurate and well managed
- Strengthening quality and safety through monitoring, problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Sharing your knowledge by guiding and supporting less experienced team member

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- A recognised Certificate IV in hospital or health services pharmacy support
- Experience in clinical pharmacy support, manufacturing, or complex medicine supply
- Strong organisation skills and the confidence to work independently within scope
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to supporting teams and patients
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing and enjoy mentoring or training others.
