What your day could look like
As a Lifeguard, you'll play a vital role in keeping a trusted aquatic facility safe, welcoming and ready for use. Your work supports the wellbeing of staff, patients and visitors, helping create a space where health, recovery and community connection come together.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Keeping patrons safe through active supervision and calm, confident response
- Maintaining high water quality and facility standards that meet safety expectations
- Supporting a positive experience at the pool desk with clear communication and care
- Working with your team to identify risks, fix issues early and improve how the facility runs
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who takes pride in creating safe spaces for others. You stay calm under pressure, act with integrity, and understand how your role contributes to people's health and confidence. You care about doing things properly, look out for others, and want to belong to a team that values compassion, dignity and courage.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Lifeguard and First Aid qualifications, with current certification
- Confidence managing pool safety, water quality and basic plant operations
- Strong communication skills and a genuine focus on people
- A responsible, team-oriented approach to safety and compliance
You'll stand out from the crowd if you also have pool plant operations training or experience in a health or community setting.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity and courage to your work, helping deliver safe, high-quality experiences every day.
