What your day could look like
As an Enquiries Officer – Night Shift, you'll play an important role in supporting safe, timely patient care during overnight hours. From ensuring essential information is available when clinicians need it most, to responding confidently to urgent requests, your work helps keep the hospital running smoothly while the community sleeps. You'll operate with trust and independence, knowing your contribution makes a real difference to patient journeys.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Ensuring patient information is accurately prepared, tracked and available to support timely clinical decisions
- Responding to urgent and routine enquiries with sound judgement, balancing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Maintaining confidentiality and care when handling sensitive information across clinical areas
- Supporting seamless overnight operations by providing reliable administrative support with minimal supervision.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings focus, care and accountability to everything you do. You're comfortable working independently overnight, take pride in accuracy, and understand that small details can have a big impact on patient outcomes. You act with integrity, show compassion in every interaction, and approach challenges with quiet confidence and courage. You'll feel proud knowing your work supports clinicians and patients when they need it most.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience in administrative or records-based work where accuracy and confidentiality are essential
- Confidence using computer systems and basic office applications
- Strong communication skills and a calm, respectful approach to enquiries
- The ability to prioritise competing requests and make sound decisions independently
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare, after-hours environments, or familiarity with medical terminology.
Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—helping deliver safe, respectful care across our region, every night.
