What your day could look like

As a Senior Psychologist in child development, you'll play a vital role in helping children and families better understand developmental needs and access the right support early. From leading complex assessments to shaping service improvements, you'll work within a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering care that truly changes lives.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering high-level assessments and care that support children with complex developmental needs
  • Partnering with families and professionals to build understanding, confidence and engagement in care
  • Leading and influencing service improvements that strengthen clinical practice and outcomes
  • Mentoring others and sharing expertise to grow capability across the team

Let's talk about you!

You're a capable and thoughtful clinician who brings both expertise and empathy to your work. You know how to navigate complexity, communicate with clarity, and build trust with families and colleagues alike. You take pride in helping children thrive and in contributing to services that evolve and improve over time. You don't just deliver care—you shape better outcomes and experiences for those who need it most.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Psychologist with the relevant national board
  • Strong experience in child development, including complex assessments and care planning
  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to engage families and collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary service

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in regional or community-based services and/or additional training in developmental or paediatric psychology.

Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine passion for supporting children and families, and a commitment to delivering care with compassion, integrity and purpose—making a lasting impact where it truly matters.
