What your day could look like

As a Clinical Nurse in Community Health, you'll play a vital role in supporting people to stay well in their own communities. From providing advanced clinical care to partnering with multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape better health outcomes and stronger local connections.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering comprehensive, person-centred care that supports health, independence and wellbeing
  • Partnering with individuals, families and local services to coordinate care and strengthen community capacity
  • Leading clinical decision-making and mentoring others to build capability and consistency in care delivery
  • Driving quality improvement and safe practice through innovation, reflection and continuous learning

You're a confident and compassionate clinician who thrives on making a meaningful difference in people's lives. You bring sound judgement, adaptability and a genuine commitment to improving health outcomes in a rural setting. You're someone who leads by example, builds trust quickly, and finds purpose in helping others navigate their health journey with dignity and respect.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with a valid practising certificate
  • Strong clinical assessment, care planning and coordination skills in a community or generalist setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively, lead others and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Skilled in critical thinking, communication and delivering safe, high-quality care

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have rural or community health experience and/or postgraduate qualifications or additional clinical certifications.

Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, courage and a drive to create better health outcomes for the community—making a real impact every day.
