What your day could look like

As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe, person-centred care and enhancing the patient experience. From helping individuals maintain dignity in daily routines to working closely with nurses to monitor wellbeing, you'll contribute to outcomes that truly matter.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting patients with daily living activities to promote comfort, safety and independence
  • Working closely with nurses to observe, report and respond to changes in patient wellbeing
  • Creating a safe, respectful environment that upholds privacy and dignity
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and continuous improvement in care delivery

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings empathy and reliability to everything you do. You take pride in supporting others, stay attentive to detail, and communicate clearly with both patients and colleagues. You know that even small actions can make a meaningful difference, and you're motivated by being part of a team delivering care with compassion and respect. You're not just here to assist, you're here to help people feel seen, safe and supported every day.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services Assistance or similar (or current nursing studies)
  • Confidence working under supervision and contributing to team-based care
  • Strong communication and organisational skills in a clinical environment
  • Commitment to safety, infection control and continuous learning

You'll stand out from the crowd if you bring experience in hospital or aged care settings and/or additional training in acute care or patient support.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who reflects the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage in the way you care for others each day.

In this role, your care and commitment will directly support better patient experiences and stronger, more connected communities.
