What your day could look like
As a Registered Nurse in the Renal Training Program, you'll play an important role in supporting people receiving specialised kidney care. Through hands-on learning, clinical development and strong team support, you'll build expertise in dialysis nursing while helping patients achieve the best possible health outcomes.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering safe, person-centred care that supports positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
- Partnering with nurses, allied health professionals and medical teams to coordinate care and respond to changing patient needs.
- Applying evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement to deliver high-quality care in a specialised environment.
- Building your renal nursing capability through structured learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement activities.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and build positive professional relationships.
- Commitment to professional development, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have recent experience in an acute medical or surgical setting and/or a strong interest in developing expertise in renal nursing and dialysis care.
