What your day could look like
As a Pharmacist Intern, you'll help deliver safe medication services that improve patient outcomes. Working alongside experienced pharmacists, you'll build your clinical skills while supporting patients and contributing to high-quality care across the health service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting the safe and timely supply of medicines to patients.
- Working with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication use and care outcomes.
- Developing your clinical capability through medication reviews, patient education and structured training.
- Contributing to quality improvement and education initiatives that enhance patient care.

- Eligibility for registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA), including an approved pharmacy qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Sound clinical knowledge and a commitment to safe, quality use of medicines.
- A collaborative mindset, willingness to learn and ability to work responsibly within a supportive team environment.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in hospital, regional or rural healthcare settings and/or a demonstrated interest in quality improvement, education or research activities.
