What your day could look like
As a Dental Assistant, you'll help create positive experiences for patients while supporting the delivery of quality oral health care. From preparing treatment spaces to working closely with clinicians during procedures, you'll be a valued part of a team focused on safe, responsive and patient-centred care.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting smooth and efficient dental care that helps patients achieve better oral health outcomes
- Working closely with clinicians to deliver high-quality treatment and patient support
- Maintaining safe, well-prepared clinical environments that meet infection prevention standards
- Contributing to a positive team culture through reliability, adaptability and continuous improvement
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings both capability and care to your work. Calm under pressure and attentive to detail, you take pride in helping people feel comfortable, informed and supported during their care journey. Guided by compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, you enjoy working collaboratively and know that small actions can have a lasting impact on patient wellbeing.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or recognised equivalent qualification)
- Experience supporting dental procedures and applying infection control principles
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities and maintain high standards of care
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in public health or hospital-based dental services and/or additional training in sterilising practices.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about improving oral health and making every patient interaction count.
By supporting safe, respectful and high-quality care, you'll help strengthen healthier communities across Darling Downs.
