What your day could look like

As a Senior Breast Imaging Radiographer, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality breast assessment services that support timely, patient-centred care. You'll work with a skilled multidisciplinary team and contribute to outcomes that make a real difference to the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing advanced breast imaging services that support accurate assessment and positive patient experiences.
  • Partnering with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, coordinated care.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical standards and service performance.
  • Mentoring colleagues while sharing knowledge that builds capability across the team.

You're a confident and compassionate imaging professional who combines clinical expertise with genuine care. You use sound judgement, communicate with integrity and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. You'll take pride in helping women access high-quality breast assessment services while contributing to innovation and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you're motivated by creating meaningful impact in a service built on Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current AHPRA registration and a recognised Medical Radiation Technology qualification.
  • Mammography accreditation, or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Advanced knowledge of breast imaging practice and evidence-based care.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and mentoring skills.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have breast ultrasound qualifications and sonography registration, and/or experience leading quality improvement initiatives.
