About the role
The purpose of this role is to deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services and leadership within outpatient Geriatric service based at Ripley Satellite Health Centre, delivering Occupational Therapy within a multidisciplinary team to patients. This role is the reference point of members of that team on both complex and routine clinical practice matters relating to Older Persons/Geriatric care. Outpatient geriatric services are also delivered at Ipswich Health Plaza. Occupational Therapy services within West Moreton Health include the provision of outpatient, inpatient and sub-acute clinical services. Services may be provided in hospital, a clinic, or patient's homes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level of knowledge and skills in Occupational Therapy services within contemporary clinical practice standards for adult physical occupational therapy services relevant to geriatrics and the continuum of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment to influence a clinical or service outcome.
- Ability to independently manage clinical caseloads.
- Ability to monitor and report clinical work practices and outcomes that supports continuous local service improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
