About the role

This position provides an efficient and effective client focused Revenue and Administrative service to staff and patients who utilise services both at Ipswich Hospital, The Hayden Centre, Ripley Sub Acute and The Park – Centre for Mental Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the legislation and procedures relevant to financial and patient management in the provision of financial practices, including financial procedures, cash handling, revenue and patient accounts management, preferably in a health service environment (e.g. Fees & Charges for accommodation and Outpatient Services).
  • Sound computer skills including data entry and use of computer applications such as Microsoft applications (word, excel, electronic mail) and patient databases (e.g. HBCIS, S/4 HANA, MediRecords).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high workloads, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively on confidential and sensitive matters across both private and public sectors.
