What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll help shape safe, effective care for patients and support your team to deliver their best. From guiding clinical decisions to strengthening systems and processes, you'll be part of a service that values collaboration, growth and high‑quality outcomes.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading and coordinating care to support safe, timely and person‑centred outcomes
- Guiding and mentoring colleagues to build capability, confidence and teamwork
- Driving improvements in quality, safety and clinical practice across your portfolio
- Applying critical thinking to manage complex situations and support effective decision‑making
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings both capability and heart to your work. You think ahead, stay calm under pressure and know how to bring people together to achieve the best possible outcomes. You take pride in shaping safe, high‑quality care and supporting others to grow. You're not just here to complete tasks — you're here to make a real impact for patients, colleagues and the community.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience
- Strong clinical judgement, coordination skills and confidence managing complex care
- Ability to lead, mentor and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous learning, reflection and professional development
You'll stand out if you have experience in leading service improvements or hold postgraduate qualifications relevant to the clinical setting.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health — compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — and use them to guide the care you deliver and the culture you help shape.
Together, your leadership and expertise will strengthen patient care and support a healthier future for our community.
