About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability to work effectively with Multicultural and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse peoples (including patients, carers and communities) within a health-related context and having a clear understanding of cultures, protocols and health related procedures with demonstrated high-level knowledge of issues impacting culturally and linguistically diverse people.
- Proven ability to communicate with individuals sensitively and appropriately from diverse cultural backgrounds while advocating on behalf of multicultural and CALD community.
- Proven advocacy skills for equitable access to healthcare services for CALD patients, with the ability to mediate and resolve cross-cultural challenges.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of health systems and health services with demonstrated ability or the ability to rapidly acquire skills in using health platforms and other technology systems relevant to the work area to enhance practice and decision support.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, including preparing complex reports, and responding directly to concerns of staff, patients, carers and family members in an appropriate manner.
- Sound knowledge of relevant I.T. systems for both patient specific information and relevant statistical data, inclusive of collection, collation and reporting towards improving health outcomes for the CALD community.
- Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
