What your day could look like
As a Registered Midwife - Caseload, you'll play an essential role in providing personalised, continuous care to women and their families across the full maternity journey. From strengthening relationships to guiding safe decision-making, you'll be part of a team that supports healthier futures for mothers, babies and the wider community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering holistic, evidence-informed midwifery care that adapts to each woman's unique needs.
- Partnering with families and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure safe, coordinated care across the pregnancy continuum.
- Leading confident, autonomous decisions and advocating for women's choices with clarity and respect.
- Bringing thoughtful insights that enhance service quality, strengthen trust and inspire innovation in maternity care.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings capability, calm and heart to your practice. You think ahead, act with integrity, and know how to create safe, trusted spaces for women as they navigate pivotal moments. You value cultural awareness, continuity of care and the chance to build relationships that genuinely make a difference. Above all, you take pride in supporting families with compassion, dignity, courage and a commitment to best practice.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Midwife.
- Strong clinical capability across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills grounded in respect and empathy.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, reflective practice and high‑quality care.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in continuity-of-care models and/or postgraduate studies in midwifery or women's health.
Most importantly, you're passionate about empowering women, strengthening regional maternity care, and contributing to a service built on compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.
Together, your work supports healthier families and a stronger future for the Darling Downs community.
