What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe, high‑quality mental health care for people in our community. From coordinating complex care to guiding others through critical moments, your work will shape experiences that truly matter.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading clinical decision‑making that delivers safe, person‑centred care and positive outcomes
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, building capability and confidence across the team
- Coordinating care with multidisciplinary partners to manage complexity and risk effectively
- Driving quality and improvement, using evidence and reflection to strengthen how care is delivered
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who combines clinical expertise with genuine care. You stay calm under pressure, think ahead, and understand that leadership is as much about listening as it is about direction. You'll feel proud knowing your work supports recovery, strengthens teams, and upholds dignity for people at vulnerable times. Guided by compassion, integrity, innovation and courage, you bring people together to make a meaningful difference.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current or eligible registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Advanced experience in mental health nursing and complex care environments
- Confidence in clinical leadership, critical thinking and collaborative practice
- A commitment to safety, quality improvement and ongoing professional growth
You'll stand out if you have postgraduate study in mental health and/or experience stepping into senior nursing leadership roles.
In this role, you'll lead with heart, act with integrity, and help shape better outcomes for people and communities across the Darling Downs.
