What your day could look like

As an Enrolled Nurse – Mental Health, you'll play a vital role in supporting consumers on their mental health journey and strengthening outcomes across the Darling Downs community. Working alongside experienced clinicians, you'll help deliver safe, respectful and person‑centred care that truly matters.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing evidence‑based, delegated nursing care that supports recovery, safety and wellbeing
  • Partnering with registered nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve shared care goals
  • Using sound clinical judgement and clear communication to support patient flow and continuity of care
  • Contributing to a positive, learning-focused environment that values quality, safety and improvement

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings both heart and skill to your practice. You care deeply about consumers, value teamwork, and understand the importance of dignity and respect in mental health care. You feel proud when your calm presence, clinical insight and compassion help someone feel heard, safe and supported. You're not just here to do a shift — you're here to create positive impact and grow with a regional service that values what you bring.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with no medication restrictions
  • Experience or capability in delivering mental health nursing care under RN supervision
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, values‑led approach to care
  • Commitment to learning, reflection and safe, high‑quality practice

You'll stand out if you have experience in mental health settings and/or additional clinical training relevant to mental health care.

Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — and use them every day to improve lives and strengthen community wellbeing.

This role is about delivering care you can be proud of, while living the values that define Darling Downs Health.
