What your day could look like
As Assistant Director (Clinical), you'll help shape how physiotherapy care is delivered across the service, supporting clinicians, strengthening governance, and improving outcomes for patients and communities throughout the region. From solving complex clinical challenges to guiding strategic change, your work will be felt well beyond a single service or setting.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering advanced clinical expertise and guidance that improves care quality and complex decision‑making
- Coaching, supporting and building capability across physiotherapy and allied health teams
- Partnering with leaders to strengthen clinical governance, standards and service design
- Leading improvement initiatives that drive safer, smarter and more connected care
Let's talk about you!
You're a confident, thoughtful leader who brings both clinical excellence and genuine care to your work. You see the bigger picture, support others to grow, and step into complexity with clarity and courage. What will make you proud is knowing your leadership lifts practice standards, strengthens teams, and creates better experiences for patients and clinicians alike. You're here to make a meaningful difference, grounded in compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Full registration as a Physiotherapist with recognised eligibility to practise
- Advanced clinical experience with the judgement to handle complex and novel situations
- Strong leadership, communication and change capability within healthcare environments
You'll stand out from the crowd if you bring experience in regional services, service development, research, or postgraduate study.
Above all, this role is about leading with purpose — improving care today while building a stronger, more innovative future for our communities.
