What your day could look like
As a Senior Project Officer – Construction, you'll play a vital role in shaping environments where care happens. Your work supports clinicians, patients and communities by delivering infrastructure that enables quality, safe healthcare. From planning projects to guiding delivery on the ground, you'll partner with teams to achieve outcomes that truly matter.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading construction and civil projects from concept to completion, achieving time, cost and quality outcomes.
- Working closely with clinicians, contractors and internal teams to align projects with service needs.
- Managing risks, budgets and reporting so decisions are informed and progress is transparent.
- Contributing ideas that improve how infrastructure supports care today and into the future.

You're someone who brings both technical capability and genuine care to your work. You value collaboration, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering projects that make a visible difference. Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience delivering construction or civil projects with accountability for scope, budget and quality.
- Confidence navigating governance, procurement and contract management in a regulated setting.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A current C class driver licence and flexibility to travel as needed.
You'll stand out if you bring experience in health, government or regional projects, and/or qualifications in construction, engineering, architecture or project management.
