What your day could look like
As a Plumber, you'll play a practical and meaningful role in supporting safe, effective healthcare across the region. From maintaining vital services to responding when it matters most, your work helps ensure our hospitals and facilities are ready to care for the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering timely plumbing, drainage and gas solutions that keep health facilities safe, functional and compliant
- Working closely with maintenance colleagues and site contacts to resolve issues efficiently and minimise disruption
- Providing trusted technical advice that supports smart decision‑making and quality outcomes
- Upholding strong safety, quality and record‑keeping standards across all work
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who takes pride in a job done right and understands the difference reliable infrastructure makes in healthcare. You bring a calm, solutions‑focused mindset, act with integrity, and value working respectfully with others. Whether you're carrying out planned work or responding to urgent needs, you know your skills help create safe spaces for care and healing. You're not just here to fix problems—you're here to support a community that relies on you.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Trade‑qualified plumber and drainer with current Queensland registration
- Strong experience across maintenance and repair work, including water, drainage and gas systems
- Good working knowledge of safety, quality and compliance requirements
- Clear communicator who works well independently and as part of a team
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have additional trade endorsements, gas or restricted electrical licensing, or experience working across regional or multi‑site environments.
Most importantly, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health—compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—and use your skills to make a real, visible difference every day.
