About the role
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support to the Mūrrūmba Targan Djimbulung Service located in the Preventative Health Division.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Practices autonomously;
- Provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care;
- Assumes responsibility for professional leadership for the unit in the absence of the Nurse Manager or Clinical Nurse Consultant;
- Applies critical thinking across all the domains of clinical
- The Clinical Nurse for Mūrrūmba Targan Djimbulung Service has advanced knowledge and skills in chronic condition management including cardiology, respiratory and diabetes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
