About the role
This position works in Community and Acute Services contributing to patient care and performing delegated tasks. The purpose of this role is to perform allocated clinical activities for which you have been trained and assessed as competent under the direction and supervision of the relevant allied health discipline. You will develop and build clinical competency through participation in workplace training, education, and feedback processes while engaged in formal allied health tertiary studies.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to apply knowledge in the health care system, computer literacy, medical terminology and mental health system.
- Understanding of and working within own scope of practice according to relevant professional standards.
- Ability to acquire the skills to provide a defined range of assessments and treatments under supervision and direction of an allied health clinician of the relevant discipline and undertake operational and administrative duties relevant to the position.
- Ability to communicate effectively within the professional allied health scope.
- Ability to use initiative and assume responsibility for the assigned workload, including the use of effective and efficient planning and organisational skills
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
