What your day could look like

As a Senior Dentist, you'll play a vital role in strengthening oral health outcomes across the region. From delivering high-quality care to leading service improvements, you'll support patients and teams while shaping a responsive, community-focused service.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering comprehensive dental care while supporting better health outcomes for diverse patients
  • Leading and mentoring dental staff and students to build capability and confidence
  • Planning and refining services to improve access, quality and patient experience
  • Collaborating with health professionals to manage complex cases and streamline referrals

Let's talk about you!

You're a skilled clinician who brings both leadership and empathy to your work. You build trust quickly, guide others with confidence, and take pride in improving how care is delivered. You're motivated by the difference you can make—supporting patients, empowering teams, and contributing to a service that's responsive, inclusive and forward-thinking.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a dentist with relevant professional authority
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality general dental care across varied patient groups
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide others
  • Experience managing complex cases and working collaboratively across healthcare teams

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural or regional settings and/or additional professional development or postgraduate training.

Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—helping create stronger oral health outcomes and a healthier community.
