About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies
- Provide specialist Gastroenterology services for patients at the TPCH and referred patients from Metro North and State-wide
- Assist in educational activities for both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, as appropriate for a teaching hospital of the School of Medicine, University of Queensland. You are required to be responsible for the practice of Gastroenterology Senior Medical and Visiting Medical officers and junior medical staff, to assist in their professional development and to be appropriate role models for them
- Facilitate and encourage innovation and change by adopting contemporary approaches to clinical service delivery, creating a high-level performance culture of excellence within the service line
- Endeavour at all times to support the research activities of colleagues
