About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Acute Care Team, the entry point to the mental health service of West Moreton Health (WMH). This role will respond to enquiries and provide information and assistance to staff, consumers, carers and external stakeholders to facilitate effective service delivery within a mental health setting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience working calmly and proficiently within a call centre/high telephone-call traffic setting.
- Organisational and prioritisation skills including the ability to work autonomously in a self directed manner while contributing to patient flow.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of internal information systems in addition to the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from consumer medical records and hospital information systems.
Ability to maintain discretion and exercise judgment where necessary within the scope of the role to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
