About the role
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for clinical mental health practice at an advanced level. This role supports the delivery of services in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation for adults with severe and enduring mental health needs, primarily with a diagnoses of Personality Disorder within a community mental health setting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Provide direct clinical services including assessment, planning and delivery within the context of a multidisciplinary environment, maintaining an awareness of community and organisational objectives. These services include the use of core discipline assessment skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, treatment planning and case management skills, incorporating knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and other relevant legislations.
- Maintain a high level of communication with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, and carers and actively participating in multidisciplinary committees as directed by the Team Leader &/or Clinical Leaders.
- Demonstrate willingness to improve clinical experience through engagement in continuing professional development training and formal qualifications.
- Provide clinical practice supervision and mentoring to less experienced staff (where applicable) and contribute to student supervision within the specialised area of community mental health service delivery.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
