About the role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) practices autonomously and in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide leadership in clinical decision making. The ANUM is responsible for professional leadership, clinical innovations, as well as clinical efficiency, utilisation and management of specialty services within the Specialist Outpatient Department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrate advanced level clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management and provision of person-centred care.
- Knowledge of evaluating systems and processes to ensure that healthcare staff have adequate resources to ensure safe and contemporary clinical service delivery.
- Demonstrate an understanding of policies and guidelines in relation to safe quality care.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage human, material and financial resources utilising the Business Planning Framework to ensure fiscal responsibilities.
- Demonstrates an understanding of trending, benchmarking data and escalation to improve patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate an understanding and application of the Life-Long Learning framework to inform practice resulting in a capable, competent and safe healthcare team.

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
