About the role

The role of Team Leader Revenue is to coordinate a team of Revenue Officers in patient revenue services (predominately inpatient billing and receipting). The Team Leader Revenue will provide support to all facilities across the West Moreton Health Service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of systems, legislation and corporate policies governing the collection of revenue, including Hospital Fees and Regulations, Health Insurance Commission and Health Insurance Fund regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation and consultative skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to engage with patients, carers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of staff, foster positive and productive working relationships, effectively negotiate and consult with key stakeholders, having high level of interpersonal skills, ability to liaise negotiate and consult with a wide variety of stakeholders on a range of sensitive issues.
  • Prepare reports within designated timeframes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate staff successfully and in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of computerised patient billing systems, preferably those applicable to a large public hospital.
