About the role
The carpenter will be responsible for carrying out efficient and cost-effective carpentry installations; maintenance and minor new works/projects within West Moreton Health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience and knowledge relating to facility installations and maintenance as it relates to carpentry, in single and multi-storey buildings similar to large, major health care facilities, including:
- Minor construction works
- Building maintenance
- Major equipment installations
- Refurbishment projects in other trades, particularly mechanical services
- Ability to prioritise works, projects, timeframes and manage costs and make responsible and accurate recommendations. An ability to produce an effective work output in terms of both quality and quantity without supervision.

- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or individually, and experience managing service contractors and/or interacting, communicating and negotiating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Possession of a Queensland recognised Carpentry & Joinery Trade Qualification and a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
