What your day could look like
As a Pharmacy Storeman, you'll play a key role in ensuring medicines and fluids are available across the hospital when and where they're needed. From managing incoming deliveries to supporting ward supply, you'll help keep patient care running smoothly while working in a supportive, collaborative team.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Coordinating the flow of medicines and supplies so clinical teams can deliver timely patient care
- Managing stock movement and storage to maintain accuracy, safety and quality standards
- Supporting inventory control by identifying discrepancies and improving stock handling practices
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliers to ensure reliable service and responsive support
Let's talk about you!
You bring a practical mindset and take pride in work that others can rely on. You're organised, detail-focused and thrive in an environment where accuracy matters. Whether you're handling stock, responding to requests, or solving a supply issue, you work with care and consistency. You value teamwork and understand how your role contributes to better outcomes for patients and staff alike. You're motivated by being part of something bigger—helping a health service deliver safe, effective care every day.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience in stock control, warehousing, or supply operations, ideally in healthcare or similar environments
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Confidence working within safety guidelines, including manual handling and workplace health standards
- Current driver's licence and willingness to complete required training or certifications
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working with medical or pharmaceutical products and/or formal training in inventory or pharmacy support.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to a role that supports safe and reliable care across the health service.
