About the role
The purpose of this role is to conduct mental health related research within the Developmental Neurobiology Research Stream at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR) under the guidance of stream lead.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- In-depth understanding of quantitative research methodologies, with mental health research or mental health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of research codes of practice and ability to apply ethical guidelines in research behaviour.
- Ability to develop and follow research protocols rigorously.
- Knowledge of key statistical packages e.g. R, STATA, Excel.
- Track record of research productivity including publications and conference presentations.
- Ability to work independently to successfully complete research projects.
- Flexibility and ability to think strategically, responding to new developments in the field by considering their impact on the current research program, moving quickly to change practices or take new directions when indicated.
- High-level interpersonal and negotiation skills in disseminating research findings and reports to stakeholders or individual research projects.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of a bachelor's degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
