What your day could look like

As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll play an important role in helping residents feel safe, supported and valued. From delivering hands-on care to working closely with nursing colleagues, you'll contribute to positive experiences and improved wellbeing for people living in residential aged care.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting residents with personalised care that promotes comfort, independence and quality of life.
  • Working alongside nurses and care teams to monitor wellbeing and communicate changes that support timely care decisions.
  • Creating a safe, welcoming environment that encourages dignity, respect and positive daily experiences.
  • Contributing to high-quality care through accurate documentation, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who leads with compassion and takes pride in making a genuine difference in people's lives. You bring a calm, respectful approach to care, value teamwork, and understand that small actions can have a lasting impact on a resident's wellbeing. Whether you're supporting daily living activities or helping create a positive environment, you act with integrity, dignity and courage while always putting people first.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • A relevant Certificate III qualification in aged care, health services assistance, home and community care, or equivalent eligibility pathway.
  • The ability to provide safe, person-centred care under the guidance of nursing professionals.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to learning, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality care outcomes.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in residential aged care and/or a strong understanding of contemporary aged care standards and best practice.

Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every interaction, helping people live well and feel valued every day.
