What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant – Paediatric Oncology, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and families through some of life's most challenging moments. Working across specialist paediatric oncology, haematology and palliative care services, you'll help ensure patients receive coordinated, high-quality care while fostering strong connections between families, clinicians and healthcare partners.

- Providing expert clinical leadership that supports safe, evidence-informed care and positive outcomes for children and their families.
- Coordinating complex care pathways, treatment plans and multidisciplinary collaboration to create a seamless healthcare experience.
- Leading quality improvement, education and practice development initiatives that strengthen capability across the workforce.
- Driving service enhancement through innovation, clinical insight and strong partnerships that improve patient and family outcomes.

Whether you're guiding complex care decisions, mentoring colleagues or improving services, you take pride in creating care experiences that are coordinated, supportive and centred on the needs of every child.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Experience in paediatric oncology, haematology and/or palliative care with advanced clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, relationship-building and communication skills that bring teams together around shared goals.
- Experience coordinating complex care, improving clinical practice and supporting workforce capability development.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate qualifications relevant to specialty nursing practice and experience leading service improvement initiatives.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage as you help shape exceptional care for children and families.
