What your day could look like

As Director Child Development Services, you will lead the delivery and future direction of child development services across the region. You will strengthen outcomes for children and families by driving service improvement, supporting multidisciplinary teams and building strong partnerships.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic service and workforce initiatives to improve access, quality and sustainability.
  • Build partnerships across health, community and government sectors.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
  • Drive innovation, quality improvement and service redesign to enhance patient and organisational outcomes.

You are an experienced and values-driven leader who combines clinical expertise with strategic vision. You inspire teams, foster collaboration and create environments where people feel supported to achieve their best.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant allied health qualification and current professional registration or membership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex multidisciplinary services, programs or teams.
  • Strong skills in workforce leadership, stakeholder engagement, financial management and service planning.
  • Proven success in quality improvement, governance and evidence-based practice.

Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive leadership experience in paediatric, community or specialist health settings will be highly regarded.

Above all, you will bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage while supporting children, families and teams to achieve positive outcomes.
