About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to implement and maintain security procedures that provide for a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors at Caboolture Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide comprehensive security service delivery to Redcliffe Hospital staff, patients, visitors and its associated land and assets.
- Provide a first response security presence to emergency situations, such as:
- Personal threat.
- Fire response.
- Internal and external events impacting service delivery.
- Actively contribute to the de-escalation of aggression, conflict, or distress with a focus on preventing escalation by recognising the early stages of aggression and intervene proactively to diffuse situations before they escalate.
- Employ evidence based de-escalation techniques, including active listening, non-confrontational body language and verbal communication strategies.
