What your day could look like
As Manager Clinical Coding, you'll lead a critical service that helps shape healthcare delivery, funding outcomes and service planning across the region.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading a high-performing clinical coding team to deliver accurate, timely and trusted health information.
- Partnering with clinicians and leaders to strengthen documentation quality and drive best-practice coding outcomes.
- Championing audits, education and improvement initiatives that enhance performance, consistency and data integrity.
- Building capability, leading innovation and influencing service-wide improvements that make a lasting impact.

You're an inspiring leader who combines technical expertise with a passion for developing people and improving healthcare outcomes. You want to influence how quality health information supports patients, services and communities across a large and diverse health service.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Degree qualification in Health Information Management (or equivalent) with professional membership eligibility.
- Extensive clinical coding, auditing and quality improvement experience.
- Strong knowledge of activity-based funding, classification systems and data quality principles.
- Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
You'll stand out if you have recognised professional accreditation and experience leading large, complex or multi-site coding services.
