What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Aged Care, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, person-centred care, while supporting clinical excellence across the service. From guiding complex care decisions to strengthening quality standards and team capability, you'll help create better experiences and outcomes for residents, families and colleagues.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading evidence-informed care that supports resident wellbeing, safety and quality of life.
- Partnering with nurses, clinicians and families to coordinate care and achieve positive health outcomes.
- Driving quality improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, reduce risk and enhance service delivery.
- Coaching and mentoring staff to build confidence, capability and a culture of continuous learning.

You're a confident and compassionate nursing leader who knows great aged care is about people and relationships. You bring sound clinical judgement, lead with integrity and have the courage to champion improvements that make a real difference. You take pride in helping teams grow, supporting residents to achieve the best possible outcomes and creating environments where quality care thrives. You're motivated by meaningful impact, not just meeting standards, and value collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant professional registration authority.
- Strong experience delivering and coordinating care within an aged care environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aged care quality frameworks, funding assessment processes and clinical governance.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and influence others while building positive team relationships.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate qualifications in nursing, aged care, leadership, management or a related field and/or experience leading quality and service improvement initiatives.
