What your day could look like

As a Home Care Worker, you'll play an important role in helping older people remain connected, independent and supported in their own homes. From delivering practical day-to-day assistance to building trusted relationships, you'll work alongside clients, families and a supportive team to create positive outcomes across the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting clients to maintain independence, wellbeing and confidence in their daily lives.
  • Providing personalised care and practical assistance that promotes comfort, dignity and safety at home.
  • Building trusted relationships and identifying changes in client needs to support timely, coordinated care.
  • Encouraging social connection and community participation that enhances quality of life.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings compassion, reliability and respect to every interaction. You understand that the small things can make a big difference, whether that's helping someone stay independent at home or providing reassurance through consistent support. You act with integrity, value dignity and look for better ways to support people every day.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current C Class driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to deliver person-centred support in home and community settings.
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgement and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • A flexible, dependable approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and/or experience providing community-based care and support services.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about helping people live with independence and connection, while contributing to healthier, stronger communities.
