    In this role, you will contribute to Blue Card Services’ Compliance Team’s investigation, monitoring and audit functions and to conduct aspects of the team’s operations in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (the Act).

    Queensland’s coronial system operates within a multidisciplinary framework under the Coroners Act 2003, with coroners, Coroners Court staff (DJAG), Queensland Health (QH) and the Queensland Police Service (QPS), each responsible for key coronial services (partner agencies).

    The coronial system’s purpose is independent death investigation to give answers to families and informing the community about death prevention to advance public health and safety.

    Since 2018, partner agencies have worked together responding to challenges identified in the Queensland Audit Office’s (QAO) Delivering Coronial Services (Report 6: 2018-19).
    This has resulted in reforms, including stronger governance arrangements, demand management strategies and the development of the Coronial Services System Delivery Framework 2021-2025 (the Framework).
